The methods of road marking removal
The methods of road marking removal which Road Safety Contracts provides are:
HCA (Thermal Lance) is the procedure of using gas and compressed air to remove road marking lines.
Scarifying is breaking up hard or compacted thermoplastic, using the scarifer. It is a mechanical way of reducing the height of the line, this is carried out using a rotating drum with picks or flails. Any debris removed will be removed using a road sweeper.
Water blasting is the most advanced method of removing road markings. The Hydro blast machine uses ultra high pressurized water (up to 40000 psi) to remove road markings. This machine is connected to a vacuum system which removes all debris.
