Road Safety Contracts uses screed marking to apply triangles, letters and junction hatching.
The application of these types of markings can be classed as an ‘Art Form’, as they are laid in many cases freehand using a screed box or hand mould.
Screed is a hand applied method of applying road marking. Hand applying the screed allows for easier application and accuracy. It is primarily seen on hatching, pedestrian crossing, speed bumps, arrows and lettering. Screed is also used to complete small car parks and any markings which are not capable to be applied by machine.
